Biographical Sketch

Ian Parker is the President of Sentinel Ridge Consulting Group, Inc., a firm specializing in the security of corporate computer networks.

Ian is a thirty-two year veteran of the IT profession and was previously employed by several major companies within the energy industry. He has designed, implemented and maintained a number of complex security infrastructures including intrusion detection and reporting systems, high availability firewalls, virtual private networks,  content management solutions, public key infrastructures and data encryption schemes. He was also instrumental in the development of the company's IT business controls processes.

Ian holds two Global Information Assurance certifications from the SANS Institute in the areas of Firewall Administration (GCFW) and Unix Security (GCUX). He is also a Check Point Certified Security Administrator.

Ian is a soccer fanatic who wishes dearly that North Americans would embrace the beautiful game as much as they do in his native Scotland.
